just held our first NYC office housewarming party and yes… there really was a 10-foot cake 🎂 huge props to Allison Chen (@alchenny) who somehow managed to bake, transport, and assemble this red velvet + funfetti masterpiece 😂 seeing creators decorate this massive cake together was the perfect metaphor for what we're building at Beacons, where our #1 value is “play as a team” – everyone contributing their unique creativity to something bigger than themselves. my favorite part of the night was watching people exchange IG handles and plan to meet up and collab in the future. that spontaneous friend-making and community-building is exactly why we wanted to be in NYC. the creator economy is evolving from solo — and sometimes lonely — content creation to collaborative networks of people helping each other work towards their goals, and I believe NYC will be at the epicenter of this shift. it is the greatest city in the world after all, right? huge thanks to everyone who came out, to Palette Media for co-hosting, and to our amazing sponsors Petrossian Inc, Scrub Daddy, Inc., Bloom Nutrition, and poppi for making the night special. if you're a creator in NYC, let's connect – our door (and cake decorating station) is always open 😎
